Our Mission
We the people of Saint Mary of the Pines in Shreveport, LA,
are unified by our Baptism to fulfill the mission of the Catholic Church: to
proclaim the works of God and to live as Jesus taught.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will improve our lives by continuing to understand the teachings of the Catholic Church, sharing with the poor, providing support for our young people, the sick and the lonely, worshipping with reverence and enthusiasm, providing stewardship for the gifts God has committed to our care, and celebrating together as a Christian family.

CONFESSIONS: Saturdays 3:30 pm or by appointment.
BAPTISM ADULTS: According to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults; please call the office for an appointment. Candidates enroll in instruction class which is on going.
BAPTISM INFANTS: To enroll in the Baptism preparation program, contact the office at least by your fourth month of pregnancy. A Saturday seminar is scheduled at the church, after which arrangements are made for group Baptisms every other month.
MARRIAGES: Arrangements must be made at least six months in advance even if the exact date is not certain. Please call the parish office for an appointment.
