Yankee Tango Down
In “Yankee Tango Down” an old man, Willie D. Moreland, is on his deathbed and explains to his grandson (Michael) how serving in Vietnam made him rich. Willie was not talking about gold, money or other valuables, he explains to Michael. The old man tells his grandson of the friendships, suffering and honor he saw while serving in the war. He explains, as he lays near death, how his life was made fuller and rich by his service in a war that America did not want, the people did not like, and the soldiers hated. An emotional book, sure to bring back memories to those that served.
