Writer W.R. Benton Releases His Newest Novel, “Ty Fisher and the Blood of the Mountain Men"
ROLLA, MISSOURI, (NAMC) – Western fiction writer W.R. Benton (http://www.wrbenton.com ) today announced the release of his new book “Ty Fisher and the Blood of the Mountain Men.”
Ty had been just a young boy when he entered the shinning mountains to trap for beaver pews, but he learned quickly that a man's word was his bond. It was a time in America when a man's word, or a simple handshake, meant something. Ty Fisher and the Blood of the Mountain Men gives the matter of honor center stage. Ty Fisher is a man of deep honor and when fur trapper Bull Singleton turns to robbing and killing his fellow trappers for their furs, Ty is honor bounded to see mountain justice served after he gives his word to bring the murderer in, regardless of how long it takes.
Ty goes after the killer in the company of his trapping partner Crazy Wayne and the two men quickly plunge into danger, intrigue, and adventure as their hunt for the mountain man turned killer becomes both time consuming and extremely difficult.
While tracking Bull, Ty meets Sara; a white woman who was found by the Sioux after her family was killed by the Blackfoot some years before, and falls in love. Known as One Tongue among the Sioux, Ty is aided by Hump the war chief of the Sioux and Wolf, a proud warrior of The People. After Crazy Wayne's brother is killed by Bull, they are joined in their search by Nam, a man who was once a member of the elite guards for the King of Siam.
Wolf and Sara join Ty, Crazy Wayne, and Nam as they move from the mountains and rolling plains into the rough southern Missouri Ozark Mountains, and then even further south into Arkansas in search of Bull. Confronting Bull in an Arkansas saloon, the crazed trapper kills a woman escaping and soon finds out even his own family wants nothing to do with him. Filled with fear and horror of his own actions, Bull runs back to the shinning mountains in hope of finding safety.
Along the way Bull starts a bloody rampage of theft, murder, and rape. Once in the mountains, Bull Singleton finds he has no place to hide as all of the mountain men turn against him. He quickly discovers the killing and raping of women is an unforgivable crime among men with deep personal honor.
The interaction between Ty, Sara, and Crazy Wayne forms the core of this character-driven book and it is reinforced by non-stop action and adventure.
